PROFESSIONAL models came to strut their stuff in Wanstead last week in a bid to help a church raise money for a new organ.
Five models visited Our Lady of Lourdes in Cambridge Park, Wanstead, last Thursday, helping to raise £2,000.
The connection was made by Jeanne Holland who sings in the church choir and works for PR agency Holland-Young Associates which provided the models.
The clothes were provided by local people and friends of Jeanne.
A new organ will cost anything in the region from £60,000 to £100,000 so, as Ms Holland said, a few more fashion shows could be around the corner.
But the £5 tickets, bought by a capacity crowd of 150, helped to start the fund raising.
