THE Prince of Wales visited Walthamstow on Thursday to talk about plans to revive the town centre.
His visit comes while initial plans for the future of the area, drawn up by the Prince's Foundation for the Built Environment and Waltham Forest Council, are under consultation.
The Prince arrived at 12.30pm, and was greeted by Walthamstow MP Neil Gerrard, council leader Clyde Loakes and mayor Farooq Qureshi.
He spent around 20 minutes taking a short tour of the Hoe Street end of the market, speaking to shoppers and market traders.
For the second part of his visit, Prince Charles went into Walthamstow Library to view the three masterplan options currently being considered. He then held a private meeting with local "stakeholder" groups involved in drawing up the masterplan.
