LEYTON: Mystery woman identified

A MYSTERY woman found wandering in the street has been identified.

Ambulance staff took the woman to Whipps Cross University Hospital after finding her in Leyton High Road 11 days ago.

She was not suffering any injuries but appeared to have mental health problems.

Police believed her name could be Anne, but any other details about her remained a mystery.

Following appeals through the media, Waltham Forest Missing Persons Unit today established her identity.

However, police have so far only confirmed that she is a 65-year woman of no fixed abode.
