Spurs linked with Cameroon midfielder

TOTTENHAM have been linked with a move for Rennes midfielder Stephane M'Bia.

French sports paper L'Equipe said the Cameroon international has his heart set on a move to the Premier League and Spurs, along with Newcastle United, Manchester City and Everton have all been touted as possible destinations.

The 21-year-old began his career at Rennes in 2004 and has since established himself in the side. He has recently left his mark on his national side, scoring two goals in Cameroon's quarter-final tie with Tunisia.

With the future of several of the Spurs side in danger, including defensive-minded players Tom Huddlestone and Michael Dawson, the door could be open for M'Bia, although it remains to be seen whether Juande Ramos will make an offer for the youngster.
